RIVER COTTAGE ACCOMMODATION

One of the best things about River Cottage is its location.  Positioned at the waterfront side of the resort, the cottage faces the St. Mary’s River and offers a deck where guests can step outside, sit back and enjoy the surroundings.  Morning coffee tastes a little different when the river is your view.  Spend the day exploring Sugar Island, fishing, heading out on the water or simply enjoying the property, then return to your own cottage and settle in for the evening.

River Cottage is preparing for an entirely new chapter.

Beginning in 2027, the existing cottage will make way for a completely reimagined waterfront retreat—designed to take full advantage of its extraordinary setting along the St. Marys River.

We’re keeping this one under wraps for now.

River Cottage features two private bedrooms, providing comfortable sleeping spaces away from the main living area.  The living room also includes a futon that converts into additional sleeping space, giving families and small groups a little more flexibility when traveling together.

River Cottage includes its own kitchen, allowing guests to prepare breakfast before heading out for the day, pack lunch for an afternoon adventure or enjoy a relaxed dinner back at the cottage.  The adjoining living area provides a comfortable place to gather, play games, relax after a day outdoors or simply spend time together.  A full bathroom completes the cottage, giving guests everything they need within their own private accommodation.

Open the door and step onto the deck overlooking the water.  This is where River Cottage earns its name.

Take your coffee outside in the morning. Sit and watch the river. Head down toward the waterfront. Spend an afternoon fishing or exploring, then come back and enjoy the slower pace of island life.

You don't have to plan every minute here.  Sometimes the best part of Sugar Island is simply having time to do nothing at all.
